I've been trying to make a timing belt tensioner tool for my 11 Galant with no success. This tool did its job. The manual says to tighten it to 25 inch-lbs but I couldn't get my torque wrench in. However, if you've been spinning for a while, you probably know that 25 inches per pound is the point at which a bolt (or belt or whatever) starts to resist. then did it manually. No problem. You'll probably only use this tool once, but maybe you can sell it on eBay? Also, the tension on the Galant was supposed to go counter-clockwise, so maybe that would explain why they flexed when people moved clockwise. Pencils.
