I love this camera! Definitely an upgrade from 1080p. The lens isn't as wide as a 1080, but it's still slightly larger than a standard camera. Stereo microphones are good too! Everyone said I had reasonably clear audio and visual range when video conferencing, even in low light. I'm glad the new model has a clear power meter right on the front! One of the issues I had with the 1080 was that I couldn't tell if it was on or not because the light was hidden on the back of the unit. Very glad the problem has been fixed on this model. The protective case is still not part of the camera (I don't want to lose it). It's a clip, but better than the sticker that came with the 1080. I also appreciate the new model's sleeker and more eco-friendly packaging. Check your microphone settings during video conferences. Amcrest camera microphones are not always used automatically by default. So check your video application AND computer settings.
