Review on VacMaster VacStrip Vacuum Packaging Combo by Brooke Flora

We have a Foodsaver V3880 which we recently received from Costco. Obviously, Foodsaver pouches are a recurring expense when you start vacuuming, so we set out to find an alternative to save money (that's the whole idea, right?). VacMaster seemed to have good reviews so we initially ordered this 60 pack. . Much cheaper than Foodsaver brand bags and advertised for use with Foodsaver equipment amongst others. I've been using them for about 2 weeks now. So far, so good. I have used all 3 sizes (20 each) and they are as good if not better than any other Foodsaver brand. I am very happy with my purchase and will definitely be ordering more. I should note that the design is a bit different than your traditional foodsaver bag. The inside of the vacuum bag is rough to the touch, almost like sandpaper, and sometimes the ground beef can smear on it and "get stuck" which can get in the way. with the sealing process. But it's preventable, and I make a much bigger deal out of it than it actually is. As long as you're not careless and trying to stuff excess wet meat into the bag, it's not a problem. Also, they definitely close better than Foodsaver bags. It's a tight, perfect clasp. I can't say the same about my Foodsaver bags that came with the machine. All in all very recommendable. I would say they improve the Foodsaver/vacuum seal process.
