I don't usually write many product reviews but I put in enough effort to install it on my son's 2012 Jeep Wrangler today and thought I might get a few nuggets of it pass on others not mentioned. Firstly I think this is an amazing product to take the first step in lifting your jeep. It is possible that this is the last step you decide to take as the difference in control is very small. There might be a bit of a firmer feel in my opinion, but it's fairly minor and will likely be fixed by fitting new dampers, which is a step we'll take at some point in the future. The installation process went pretty well for us. I will say that you should definitely check out some of the great videos on YouTube as the instructions that come with the product are quite basic. It took us 4 hours to install them. We were able to install the front in 1 hour and the remaining 3 hours we spent on the back where we couldn't reattach the coils using the spacer without one of those coil compression tools (which we easily acquired from Auto.Zone as a free loaner) . In the videos you can see a simple installation without these compression tools, but we didn't have that. Instead of struggling with the coils and/or risking pulling/stretching on the parking brake cable (which seemed to be our limiting factor in the back, it got stretched to the limit), you can just borrow one of these compression coils. tools from the start. The other basic tools you will need for the installation are a good jack and 2 jack stands. Basically you jack up the front of the frame as high as you can and control the lowering of the front axle with a floor jack so you can remove the spools and reinstall them with the included washer. Then continue with the back and do the same thing by finishing the front. Very happy with the product, very happy with the price. Like many other reviewers, we left the small half inch of the original padding in the front and removed it in the back. This results in 2.5 inches of lift up front and 2.0 inches in the rear, making for a great look as the Jeep naturally leans forward half an inch. Correct video on Youtube. If you fall into this category, do it! I have a pretty solid sense of accomplishment when I did that today and was happy with the result. Jeep looks cool!
