I painted the end of our kitchen island this chalkboard paint to create a weekly menu chalkboard. I followed the instructions and let him heal. This can now work great with chalk. I just can't stand the sound. I used chalk pencils. A week after writing on the board, I tried washing it off with soap and water, a cleaning spray, and finally magic erasers. The last one removed most of it, but you can still see the words that were there before. Admittedly, I have no idea whether this is because blackboard paint is not suitable for chalk pencils or whether chalk pencils are not intended for erasing. I just want to know up front that this combination doesn't work. Now I'm stuck with a month old menu that I can't delete. I can just paint over the damn thing!
