Review on Soma 6-Cup Glass Carafe Plant-Based Water Filtration System, White by Alicia Hall

I've been using it for 2 years and love it. I chose this filter mainly because I want to limit my exposure to plastic (assuming plastic is still present in this product) and I love the glass carafe. I've noticed a lot of reviewers mention mold growth and I agree. can happen, but I think any environment with humidity and heat will lead to mold; To prevent mold growth, I take it apart every week or two and quickly clean all the parts. As with everything else in life, keep it in a cool place out of direct sunlight. As for the filtration - I haven't done any scientific testing to quantify the effectiveness but I can see that my cat's water bowl (which I used tap water in) no longer has any hard water/scale build up. Don't forget to clean your water filter jug (of this brand or any other) regularly!
