The bottom line is this is quality gear. It's solid, functional, loads quickly and the touchscreen works well, unlike some GPS units I've had. The only problem is that Garmin maps suck! This thing assures me that my maps are current and up-to-date, but it keeps making mistakes. It tries to send me onto closed roads that no longer exist, etc. Also, the biggest downside to this unit is that it doesn't have a "redirect button" like previous Garmin GPS units I've had. If he wants you to drive on a road that's closed to construction, he's stubborn as a horse's ass and won't change his mind. The only way to change the route is to manually enter a different route (then why do I need the GPS?) Give the redirect button back, Garmin! Don't get me wrong, it's better than having no GPS at all or being stuck under a low bridge because you've been using Google Maps on your phone, but it still has some serious flaws that will annoy you.
