I'm the type to read reviews before purchasing something, weighing pros and cons and pricing, and the biggest running theme was how long the batteries on these lasted. Some said they died quick, others that they lasted two months or so. I ended up buying them, in December of 2018, mostly for the auto-timer and the flicker effect were more cost effect then some of the other recommendations (plus the replacement batteries are super cheap at my local grocery store). I am now, July of 2019, finally changing the batteries. I set them on the timer as soon as I got them, so for everyday for the last 7 months, they've kicked on, done their 6 hour shift, and turned off. I love these lights.
