I don't know what the included adapter and Schrader valve are for, but the canister tap is perfect for connecting 8oz R1234 self-sealing cans to gauges. I don't think I'll ever need to replace this part as it will likely survive the use of R1234 coolant in vehicles for the average home player, but if I lose it before I need to use it next time I wouldn't hesitate in buying these again.
