I had no problems installing the device and yes it works with Windows 7 64-bit. I can't explain the issues that many have complained about in their reviews, but I suspect they COULD be the source of the problem. READ THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. You MUST run the CD first BEFORE installing a PCI card in your computer. DO NOT interrupt the installer even if it hangs before completing. It will pause for a few minutes before completing the installation. For me, this pause occurred at about 20% completion. Be patient. I was about to cancel the install but task manager showed everything was fine so I waited and waited some more. Finally, the installation is complete and you were prompted to turn off the computer and install the map. The installation will continue after the restart. I followed the instructions and had no problems. Windows 7 recognized the card and the card recognized my router and they connected with no problems. I then tested the connection speed and reliability on the Charter test site with the following results: 15.2 Mbps download speed, 1 Mbps upload speed. These rates represent the maximum rates for the service I currently subscribe to through Charter. I don't see any problems with the card to be installed in a Windows 7 box, no speed problems, no reliability problems. As a result, the map gets all 5 stars. The card is marked as version 4.1 with the date of manufacture 9/2010 - the driver is from 2006 and version 2.0.3 - I consider myself an advanced user and I'm ready to fix any problems. Problems, if they arose, just appear never happened on. Installation went smoothly, performance was as good as I could expect, and maxed out for my connection limitations. I hope this review helps buyers make an informed purchasing decision, and more than that, I hope it helps Windows 7 users avoid the problems that somehow plague many.
