Review on Enhance Your Table Décor with Creuset Stoneware 2 Quart Pitcher in Cherry by John Holliday

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice pitcher for practical and decorative use

I ordered this for a number of reasons: 2. I love LeCrueset and collect all I can in Dijon 2. I enjoy hosting events at home and love drinks to serve from nice jugs and 3. I'm a fan of jugs and collect different ones, from vintage to more practical ones. I thought about getting this pitcher for a while and read various reviews about how nice the LeCrueset pitchers were. I plan to invite the girls to a little get-together, so I finally decided to spend the money. The only thing I don't like about this relatively basic jug is the price. It seems a little heavy, but LeCrueset stuff is. On the other hand, things last forever, so you end up getting your money's worth. The color on it is graduated, with the top of the can being a lighter yellow than the bottom. The top is actually dark yellow and the underside is a lovely mustard color. For those of us who need this service, the label that comes with it says it goes from freezer to oven. So I'm guessing sangria or iced tea will disappear from the fridge in the hot Arizona afternoon heat. In fact, I must confess that the only other Dijon item I have (I have LeCruset in other colors) is a mortar and pestle that I use for grinding medicines or spices. I show this because it's beautiful. The jar will likely have dried flowers in it for spring or fall, as well as its functional purpose. I just love these items. A nicer, rice colored jar than I had hoped for and it was delivered safe and sound. If you like yellow, you'll like this one too.
