Review on 🚗 Enhance Your Jeep Towing Experience with Red Hound Auto D-Ring Shackle Isolator Set by Billy Stull

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great solution for my application variables.

I had to check this to help others. People are downgrading their rating because they had to cut them etc. I suspect the problem is more with non-standard struts or the uneven thickness of the anchor strut (which goes through the bumper). In my case, I'm using a 3/4" Crosby mount that goes through a 0.5" mount/anchor with a hole about 7/8". In this case, these things are wonderful. Sure, a tapered rubber washer at just over $2 a piece might seem expensive, but you make them cheaper and send them to me cheaper and I'll buy them from you next time :-). They fit perfectly and the type of rubber they are made of is spongy so they compress well which not only reduces play and associated chatter but also holds the entire strut tight enough that it doesn't work loose rotates, presumably preventing their collision with the mine. whole bumper. Therefore, I will most likely not even need the clamp dampers that I ordered. If that's the case, not only do I get rid of a couple of rubber washers that others use (which I would probably lose in the mud), but I also get rid of a damper that I probably would have had to remove before using it. with a strap (and probably hanging in the dirt :-). So you could say this actually saved me a significant amount of money and frustration, and as such it's both a great and easy fix. Should just love. Now if you're using a custom shackle or shackle anchor/different thickness, you'll probably need to modify it slightly. I would still argue that if done correctly, it's still the best option for the reasons listed above.
