After spending hundreds of dollars on a pet fence only to find that I could never buy fully charged batteries to maintain the device, I decided on this tool. It was a great investment. I have two dogs, one is very stubborn. But I changed my behavior almost immediately. After installing the low shock, I only had to use it a couple of times after activating the warning horn. Now they react to the sound signal - in most cases only my voice command makes them think. As long as you start with a low shock and only increase it until you get their attention, this will be effective. I give a voice command first, if there is no answer I give a warning tone - if they still don't answer then electrocute. I end up trading the shock for a vibration that makes them think they're repairing themselves to get the shock. The end goal is for them to constantly respond to your voice commands.
