Review on ๐Ÿ”บ Gizmo Dorks Copper Filament: High-Quality Additive Manufacturing Products for 3D Printers by Dexter Rasberry

Good results, can't print

When printing with a direct extruder, your mileage may vary if you have a bowden tube extruder because the filament is subjected to less bending force is. An absolute nightmare for printing. Keeps clicking before it reaches the extruder and spoils the prints. If you finally manage to successfully complete the print, after a little sanding, the end product will be pretty good. It took 5 failed attempts to achieve this after clicking directly on the extruder. This came as a surprise as Gizmo Dorks makes excellent PLA fillers. You're better off just getting some colorfabb copper putty. Some tricks that will increase your chances of not breaking the thread. - Move your model to the other side of the build plate to minimize flexing of the filament. - Move the filament spool closer to the extruder (for straight extruders) to reduce the bend. Cut the thread into foot lengths and tuck it in when it gets low. Forget long or late-night printouts.

Pros
  • Filament diameter 2.85mm (dimensional accuracy +/- 0.03mm)
Cons
  • Something else
