I wonder if these are genuine

Are these genuine Victorinox knives? They arrived in bubble wrap rather than branded packaging, although the blades come with official stickers. But they're almost as stupid as popsicle sticks! I compared them to a REAL Victorinox paring knife I have. The plastic on the handle is slightly different in texture and weight. The embossing on the handle of my slightly larger real paring knife says "MADE IN SWITZERLAND" on one side and nothing on the other. These knives are marked "Swiss Made" on one side and "Victorinox" and a cross logo on the other. My real knife has a Victorinox engraving on the blade. So I went to the Victorinox website and saw that they offer tiny, flashy knives like this one and that the name and logo is on the handles, not the blades. But I can't tell if the blade is the same. Why would anyone bother cheating on such cheap knives? Whatever the truth, I consider these knives useless. The special thing about Victorinox paring knives has always been that they could be continually sharpened until the blade wore out, and then thrown away. That is why they are popular in professional kitchens. Knives were always cheap, but the blades kept their sharpness. These knives don't exist.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • poorly thought out
