407 design changes are awesome!

I am replacing Fluval 305 after 5 years of continuous use. I have a 55 gallon tank shaped like a Trivial Pursuit item. I've watched videos about the 407 and its upgrades but didn't think it would make much of a difference. I was wrong. The 407 is way better in every way. Tutorial: The lever is much easier to grab and move. It took 5 strokes to start filling. It would take the eldest over 20 to get him to move. Average 45 movements to deflate and everything worked. Being under the stand and with its back to the wall, it was inconvenient to get there and not interesting to fill. Hose connection - oh my god! This is the best part of the redesign! The lever that secures it to the top of the filter really works and is very easy to press. Not much has changed in the process control. But blocking is much better. Better. Better! The old one sometimes showed up after you locked it. Just not this one. impeller cover. They redesigned the impeller cover and removed that ridiculous transparent algae magnet that was on the gasket itself. Now just one tab instead of two, making it easier to remove and attach. Media compartment - there is a compartment handle! It's so easy to go out and separate them. Other media trays stuck together and the media spun all over the place when you pulled them apart. filter noise. With the older one you could hear the impeller and you knew it was working. Until it made noise and didn't work at all. This makes almost ZERO noise. The air pump masks any noise the filter makes. MARVELOUS! This is the best filter I've ever used. It's powerful, quiet, easy to clean and the new design is well thought out and works great. Great job Fluval! My fish thanked me! Not that I speak lazily. and I don't really talk to them. well, not always.
