We have been making ice cream for many years and previously used a similar manual ice cream maker. We frozen the bowl 36 hours ahead of time, pre-chilled the mix and read the directions. I was immediately suspicious of the noise it was making. I found it quite noisy for a small electric motor. Our stand mixer is much quieter. It worked for 20 minutes, overheated and just stopped. Disconnecting and reconnecting didn't reset it. We removed the motor and paddle and put the bowl back in the freezer until the motor cooled. I wiped the edges and stirred the mixture with a scraper before replacing the paddle assembly. Worked for 5 minutes and crashed again. What remains is a soupy consistency and useless devices.
