Raised just a few inches before grinding metal on metal. The air is bled on delivery and before first use, no oil leaks. Very disappointed as my father spent too much. I suggested he return it immediately and I would buy something from Costco or Harbor Freight for a lot less money with a much better track record. Costco also has an incredible return policy in the event of a refusal. Both have highly rated bushings used by pros for $75 less. Customer service got back to me quickly, but long-term reliability, long track record, and convenience must be chosen. If he saves over $100, all the better.
