Clip and strap options are good. I was attracted to the rigidity of the body and the added shock absorbers. I should have checked the measurements. This case is smaller and thicker than the one I kept my 1TB drive in. I bought it with a new Seagate 5TB. I thought the extra sort of boxy padding looked nice. It (barely) fits my 5TB, but I feel like the elastic holders stretch too quickly. So I decided to use my old case for my 5TB drive and my smaller Toshiba 1TB in this case. There is a chemical smell which I would expect to go away with airing like most others. I don't think many will agree with the offending reviewer that it's "nice". The loop is for the larger clip and the smaller D-ring is for the strap. This makes sense because there can be too much tension there when using a clamp.
