I have Klett KC200 double-cut shears, which are awkward to use for cutting corrugated iron. So when I needed to cut almost thirty sheets of 4 x 8 roofing material I decided to look for some special corrugated iron snips. I'm ready to go so when it arrived today I immediately tried it on my Dewalt cordless drill. It fits perfectly and offers enough power at both high and low speeds. You must match the cutting blade to the metal you are using or it will not cut well. There is almost no information about tuning, trial and error. After finding the best setting and reading the instructions I found, I attempted to cut a 2 foot piece of roofing scrap. I couldn't believe it was that hard so I kept cutting, dozens of cuts to get used to it and to compare. My old scissors were difficult. Wow what a mess, this is way worse than my old velcro and slow to boot. Then it's an ergonomic mess, keeping it upright with all that weight hurt my hands in just minutes. I also found it more difficult to cut a straight line. An hour has passed and both my arms hurt (I ran with my left and right arm). I can walk pain-free for a long time on Kletta. I really wanted this to work, but I have a feeling the ad isn't true. Compared to my old Klett that I bought at a garage sale for $35, it doesn't do "quick cross cuts, rip cuts with large or small metal shafts". Because it works and looks solid, I gave it two stars. not zero.
