I like that there are silicone pads on the shock absorbers, waterproof, there are several modes: beep, vibration, shock. I don't need a shock, but if I do, it's there. I also love the wrist strap so I don't lose it! Update: Now that I've used it, here are some additional thoughts. The remote control is easy to use, but too small. It's hard for my adult eyes to see the settings. The firing pins are already on the device. I prefer the ones that can be removed because I don't use them. I don't want to accidentally click the shock setting. So I downgraded my rating to 4 stars. If your dog has a thick neck like mine, the collar may not fit... This collar fits my dog with a little something extra.
