Review on ISi Stainless Siphon Bottle Silver by Jasmine Baker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Holds 1 litre. Don't add more.

The other reviews on this product cover important aspects of the product, so I just want to share my experience which made me want to return it. Then I learned this trick. I followed all the advice of using chilled water and shaking more than the manufacturer recommends. But in most cases when gas was supplied it either threw gas out of the nozzle or created a wet mush as it erupted everywhere. I thought it was an outlet and convinced myself it was just bad. (not) I even went to the Revain returns page to inquire about a new upper. There is no way to contact the seller, only a return. So I decided to do it. But that didn't let me because of the limitation on supplying pressurized materials or combustible materials. While this thing can be pressurized, it can come with a cap that makes it just a bottle. And certainly nothing flammable. Actually, CO2 is a good fire extinguisher. So I looked at the thing again and read something about it. The answer is to only fill it up to 1 liter so there is enough air for the gas to escape. The liquid is incompressible, since it has no room for CO2 gas, it forces it out through the valve. So I measured exactly 1 liter. and since then no more problems. Works like a charm and usually has enough gas to fill an entire bottle. Even if it "runs out of juice", that's not a problem. Simply unscrew the lid and pour. It's still full of fizz. Before I bought it, I used soda from the grocery store. So I have a large supply of empty bottles. It is difficult to see exactly where the level is in the stainless steel bottle. But it's easy to fill an empty soda bottle and fill it from this bottle. I also learned that it's easier to keep the bottle filled and closed since you have to use chilled water so the big bottle can either be cooled with fresh water or the gas can be absorbed. With planning, you can maintain a constant supply. Before that I only bought 2 bottles a week at the supermarket. Now it doesn't matter how much I drink. CO2 tanks are an expense, but less than half the cost of water at the grocery store, so definitely a steal. With CO2 costs and prices, the breakeven point is around 200 bottles. Sounds like a lot, but over the life of the product you'll get to that point, and the convenience of not having to lug bottles from the store is an added bonus.
