Review on 🧀 Westmark 29272260 Gallant Cheese Slicer - Special Red/Black Edition, One Size by Eathan Wilson

Superb cheese slicer. I've had one like this for years. Took one on a trip to Europe many years ago. So many years since my original model is marked "West Germany" so you know it's been a long time! The German name for this device is "Rollschnitt". After a few years of operation, the cheese cutting wire broke. I was thinking of replacing that wire with a used metal guitar string. I've tried other rotary cheese cutters and none of them worked as well as my original rotary cutter. The cheese stuck to another model with a big thick roller. With this cheese cutter, the cheese is cut nicely without having to tear off the cheese pieces from the roller. I searched for "rollshcnitt" in Revain and to my surprise this device came up. I ordered it and it arrived today. It is from the same manufacturer as my original roll cut. The new model's handle is more beautiful and even better, complete with two interchangeable wires for cutting cheese! Otherwise the design seems identical to my old roller cut that worked so well for many years. I'm glad they didn't ruin a great design. Used it this afternoon and it worked like a charm (as I expected). A wonderful device.
