This is my first sling. I am also new to fish cutting. A good leather belt was needed for the razor-sharp blade to do its job properly. This HUTSULS Premium Composite Leather Band will give me the sharpness that many satisfied Revain customers report in their 5 star reviews. Another feature I was looking for was being able to easily get a compound leather cord and no paddle or wood block. . I already have many pieces of wood and have had fun cutting and shaping the piece that best suits my needs (at no extra cost). I also received an email asking for my review with a private message (which probably many have received as well). I laughed a little at this form of personalized (although sent out to all customers) marketing efforts. I very much respect their efforts and am even sending this letter to my postal address. After all, a good rating is the greatest help for a company. The product deserves my 5 star rating and I thank Andrew and his family business for that. DK
