Good or bad, they're made up of many parts - they all fall apart. Easy to clean but loses detail easily. There is a notch there and if that notch is not set properly it will not work. With their help I broke several filters. Not sure if it was too much pressure or a bad mount connection. I have used them with Whatman GF/F filters and they fit perfectly. On the filter there is a plastic plate with grooves, which is pressed against it. If all you need is filtered water, great works well. But if you need a filter (chlorophyll analysis, particle analysis, etc.) then don't use them! The filter, and thus part of your sample, adheres to the corrugated plastic plate above. I tried without this plate and the filter broke. They are cheaper than Swinnex holders but are more picky and not good if you need filters.
