Review on Wilton 78A Woodworkers Opening Capacity by Kevin Jacobson

I bought this to replace a quick release vise I had previously bought from a nationwide woodworking retailer. These vises are much more reliable in almost every way. Assembly was very easy, although the printed template did not match the actual screw holes in the vise. I also had an issue with two smaller diameter mounting holes than the recommended 3/8" bolt. I had to use 5/16" bolts. A more serious problem was the Rapid Nut node. The spring steel that holds the pin in the nut was broken when I received the vise. I emailed Wilton for help , but never got a reply from them. When they arrived he didn't need a vise and sat in the box longer than Revane allowed him for his return. Luckily I was able to do an amazing renovation (I was lucky). It's only been since been in operation for a week, so a repair verdict is not yet available.
