Absolute crap on blueprint

Have you ever been so obsessed with something that the only way out was to put it through a rigorous series of tests? god how i was After these pens (which proudly claim to be waterproof) ruined a watercolor painting I was working on, I furiously made comparisons between other liners just to make sure it wasn't an accident or too high expectations. It's not like this. As you can see, the Black Liner is a real piece of junk. All tests failed. Poop in a pen. image destroyer. I hate this. I didn't even check the cross hatches. It's just a swing. Why did both of them ruin my brush? If you just want them to write I think they might be ok? They make marks, not very smooth or spectacular, but they do. However, if you plan to use them in a creative endeavor: don't. There are far better alternatives out there including the good old cheap and basic Sharpie. Breakdown Tests. Each line has three different tests using just tap water and a watercolor brush: one as you would actually use it, one where I left the blob on for a few minutes, and one where I wiped it off. , like mixing colors on the paper itself. The cross strokes were given a similar treatment (with two exceptions), the first being a single stroke and the second being an effort to rub it off. It's also worth noting, all of this with a single exception (i.e. Sharpie's second stroke) which was left to dry for longer than 12 hours. So they have no excuse as they all claim they are artliners and they all claim they are waterproof. .except for the Sharpie, which ironically only claims to be waterproof.
