My 2007 Subaru Outback had a timing belt break causing 10 valves to be bent. I tried using a rented valve spring compressor from an auto parts store but it didn't fit properly and used a vise mechanism to compress the springs. When the tension was released, the springs and holders would bounce around the room. Ordered this to finish the job and it worked great for removing and reassembling valves in Subaru SOHC 2.5 heads.
