I was very hesitant to buy this brush. I read many reviews and finally tried it. Low and lo and behold this is the BEST comb for thick 4C hair on my delicate daughter's head! Normally a laundry day is a whole day! Today I finished washing, deep conditioning and combing in 1 hour (never happened before)! No tears and running off the chair! She's not mad at me or hysterical about me untangling her hair. I found this more useful when cleaning vertically rather than horizontally. Either direction gets the job done, but it was easier to "comb" her hair, starting at the ends and working towards the roots to detangle the hair. I'm buying 2 more to give away! This is a must!
