I recently bought a 1996 Toyota Tacoma. The guy who owned it didn't like the radio tower antenna so he used putty to fill the hole. So of course the radio reception was terrible. To avoid drilling a hole etc I ordered this. At first I could only get a few stations and was dissatisfied. But when I moved the wire under the dash, I found that it worked just as well as the antenna on the mast; at least for our local FM stations. What was strange was that I only had to move the extended wire a few centimeters to achieve optimal reception. As a test, I connected a T-shaped VHF antenna to the end of the antenna cable I bought. The reception has not improved. So this device does its job perfectly by itself.
