Installed this unit on our Grand Design Imagine. It really was plug and play; No hassle with installation, all adapters and brackets bolt directly to our Furion bracket/wiring. The monitor unit is quite dated by today's standards. I wish it was more modern, maybe with a touchscreen and a more streamlined antenna. While driving, the device has a pretty decent latency for real-time display vs. image, making it useless for real-time monitoring while driving (lane changes, etc.). Range is not a problem. My rig is over 50 feet from the back of the van to my truck's dashboard and I've had no connection issues other than a lagging display while driving. What worries me the most is that the camera itself has a very strange perspective. This is very different from a modern car backup camera. Estimating the distance to objects is extremely difficult. Some objects appear to be inches from the back of the van when they are actually only a few feet away. Even when objects disappear from view, they are still a considerable distance from a real RV. Because of this, I rarely use this camera.
