SSR-1000TR vs. my EVGA 1000W Titanium T2

I bought this SSR-1000TR power supply to replace my EVGA 1000W Titanium T2 power supply which was causing coil whine. Both power supplies are very good. They work great and do what the PSU does. system performance. This SSR-1000TR does an excellent job of powering my system with Nvidia 2080TI, 9900K CPU, 8 case fans and multiple hard drives. Overall, both power supplies are great. If you need a 1000W titanium power supply, this Seasonic and EVGA is the best choice on the market. Now that I have these two power supplies, here's what I think of them both: Advantages of the SSR-1000TR:* The power supply is physically smaller than the EVGA; not much, but it was enough to notice right away. Good if you need to save space. * The Hybrid Fan Control Knob is located on the OUTSIDE of the PSU outside of the case. The EVGA switch for their version of this feature is located inside the case. So it's much easier to change this setting in Seasonic, since you have to open EVGA's case to do it. * Power cables (excluding the 24-pin motherboard cable) are flat and not rounded. A big help was the cable routing on the side of the case; With EVGA, I had a very difficult time installing the side panel of the case due to the large cables. Cons: * Seasonic has significantly shorter cables than EVGA. I have a medium sized case and was unable to route the CPU power cables with the rest of the cables down the side of the case due to the short length. * The CPU power cables are also divided into two bands. " (for lack of a better word). It was a little annoying because it made the cable look like two cables when it was actually one. EVGA wasn't like that. Neutral: * Seasonic feels less heavy than EVGA, but it might just be in my head.* Seasonic makes a noticeable click when turning on/off.(Doesn't last more than a split second.) EVGA didn't produce that click. Not really a big deal, but just in case you do something bothers me * Seasonic makes a noticeable click when turning on/off.(Doesn't last more than a split second.) EVGA didn't make that clicking sound.Nothing special but just in case such things bother you.
