We replaced the area rug in our living room some months ago and it has seemed to be rather hard and flat. We have hardwood floors so we needed to consider slippage both at the floor/pad and pad/carpet interfaces. We've been thinking that a thin pad would help but wanted something more than just a non-slip pad. This 1/4 inch felt pad with a non-slip backing was just the thing. It is thin (1/8 inch each rubber and felt) but is exactly what we wanted as we didn't want to create a large gap between the floor and the rug.
