Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Lisle 60200 High Performance Strap Filter Wrench by Jamar Gow

Suitable for non-greasy application. Not recommended for oily hulls.

I wouldn't brag about this product but it did exactly what I wanted it to do. I used it on an Aquapure AP801 plastic water filter housing that I had problems with the factory plastic key lever. So I compare it to a plastic key. However, in my opinion the strap is too short for most of the work it can be used for. For example, I used it on a 6.25" acrylic plastic case and it kept wanting to slide off, requiring me to constantly adjust the key. I felt that if the nylon strap had just 6 inches more material it wouldn't be a problem. Second, while the nylon belt is stiff, it does not provide slip resistance. So I can easily imagine that if it was contaminated with oil, for example, it would quickly fail. Also, the socket is at the end of the metal bracket. This means your leverage will bend the strut around the edge, creating an even more awkward grip. You should do this with the cylinder head in the middle of the metal for even leverage. Last but not least, the diameter of the metal head is too small. When putting on the ratchet handle, the diameter of the socket head causes the belt to be off-center, making it difficult to pry. Great idea: it takes more time in the oven to fully bake. But it can be the only tool for the job where other tools don't work. So your mileage will vary based on usage.
