I shopped around for a while looking for a 4 slice toaster that would toast top and bottom of bagel at the same time. I couldn't find any except this one. Now that I have used it for a while, I am quite pleased. It will toast all the wide bread; Texas Toast, homemade bread, bagels, etc and have two different settings for degree of darkness. It is easy to use and it is much faster than the two slicer I had before. I wish it had come in brushed stainless but I settled for the shiny stainless and got a matching bread keeper that sits beside it. I am pleased.
