Review on Amerous Folding Standard International Magnetic by David Thomley

Bought an Amerous chess set to go hiking and relaxing with friends. It serves that purpose well. Magnetic feature resists most tilts (no shaking) and light turbulence. At this point you can hold it upside down and lose a piece at most. Although magnetism makes it difficult to align caught pieces on the edge of the board - a minor downside. It takes a game or two to get used to the parts. They are well designed and have a classic wooden aesthetic, very casual rather than a decorative coffee table type. Personally, I would like the bishops and queens to be slightly different in size or ornament. However, it's enough that it can't be a real complaint. Great for a gift.
