Nice little device that doesn't overheat

My windows pc installed it automatically without the CD that came with it which was great as my CD reader was broken. At first I had very low readings, but then I realized I had it plugged into a USB 1.0 port. Connecting to a different port increased the speed, but not so much. A reboot solved this problem and I got consistent 50-60Mbps and peaked at 65-70Mbps. My internet plan is only for 50, so that's enough for me. The only downside is that the Wi- Fi signal indicator on Windows fluctuates between 4 and 5 bars even though the PC is no further away than my iPad or iPhone from the router, but it doesn't seem to affect my normal usage, so maybe the sensor is just too sensitive. More importantly, this little guy has overheated several more times that I've checked over the past 2 weeks. Still cool at the moment. I was actually afraid to buy this because I bought a TP Link for almost $30 over 10 years ago and it got so hot I burned my fingers trying to disconnect it. They sent me a replacement but it still overheated no matter which USB port I tried. It was only $12. I should have tried this many years ago instead of messing with ethernet cables all the time. It was definitely worth it considering it will be a while before I can upgrade my computer with built-in Wi-Fi.
