Review on Maxell 635117 DVD-RW Disc: Rewritable 4.7GB Recording Format for DVD Players and High Capacity File Archiving by Kenny Sanchez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wish I had thought of buying your DVD RWs sooner!

Being able to reformat (ie erase) DVDs is great as I take LOTS of footage from my cable TV (ATT uVerse) to bring home to my girlfriend to watch with her , since it does I don't have some of the cash registers that I have at home. I started writing the titles of the shows I record on index cards which I put inside the DVD cover along with the corresponding DVD so I could take it home after watching the recorded shows on the DVD and ( after re-watching) Record some new shows on it (and write on a new flashcard) so later I can bring it home and watch THOSE shows with it. (She owns Comcast) I wish I had bought RW discs sooner because I've used up a lot of regular DVDs I've recorded on in the past and only 10% of them were "keepers" that I've added to my personal collection . I have both a DVR (from ATT) and a Sanyo VHS/DVD recorder connected to my DVR so I can record shows stored on my DVR OR burn shows straight from my TV to DVD R or RW. . QUESTION: For which TV show would I need to format your RW disc in VR mode (making it CPRM-compatible for a one-time recording only)? My Sanyo VCR user manual mentions that I need to make the DVD-RW CPRM compliant before recording certain shows (or channels?) but I don't know what type of show or channel is mentioned in the manual. and I've called Sanyo several times but NOBODY seems to know! I've found myself watching certain channels like HBO or Starz (paid subscription channels) or non-subscription channels like National Geographic Channel (NG ). and NGV) and some others. WHICH channel do I need to burn a CPRM compatible disc? I can't find anyone!
