Beat for a thousand!

Almost all rewritable DVD spindles, some of which do not work but instead give an error message stating that this disc cannot be written to. After a horrible experience with another brand, I braced myself for another disappointment with an unusable product. The first gave this error message, so I took it out, put it back in the tray and ran it again. Then it booted and formatted normally. A total of 5 out of 15 had to be done twice but all worked. The remaining 10 are loaded and formatted…

Sturdy and reliable

I have used these little gems to burn movies from Tivo onto a Toshiba 570 DVD burner with great results. There were no recording errors and I did not experience any loss of video or audio. Movies saved at Best Quality and then shot at Best Quality appear to be identical. The only difference I've noticed is some signal degradation when recording in SP mode or slower, but I believe that's more a characteristic of the lower recording quality at slower speeds and not the fault of the medium. I've…

  • Great price

  • Very expensive

I write a lot, mostly I actually make quite a few backups and save my files. I'm paranoid about losing things and always save to more than one medium. I've had great success using the TDK+R DVD for this task with no problems. Then I made the mistake of literally buying -R to do the same and it was a complete disaster. (See separate review.) So I had to buy replacement DVDs and settled on them. I've used it twice so far to save files and open and modify them with no problems. So far, so good. If

Suitable for older DVD recorders

One of the most frustrating things that can happen when buying DVDs is finding that they won't work with your particular recorder. These discs are rated for 1x-2x max speed and work well with my old recorder that can't record at higher speeds. Even looking at the user manual does not always show the correct drive speed for a particular machine. I had to find this out myself by reading other users' experiences with machines of the same make and model as mine. Therefore, if you have an older…

Repeat purchase of a great, reliable, rewritable DVD.

I bought the same Maxell DVD-RW spindle from Revain 2 years ago. After years of experimenting with different brands, I finally had blank DVDs that my computers wouldn't reject. This is a "Thank God!" product. I had no problems with any of the 15 discs. No loss. They all work perfectly. Videos, movies and music are top notch. Storing documents, file types, and digital art is great. I love that I can write, edit, erase, reformat and use these discs for all my disc storage needs. The only thing I…

Reusable discs meet my needs

I use this product to record movies and TV shows. The type shown is the yellow disks (this manufacturer's silver disks have large logos etc., leaving less room for the lettering system I describe in this report); They have barely visible horizontal lines as reference lines for marking shots with black Fine Point Sharpie markers. I use standard Memorex 10mm clear sleeves as the same marker can be used to mark the top of the sleeve which I sort by year or theme. I use the usual clear thinner TV…

Some of them work, others fail.

I recently bought this DVD set to rip home videos and videos from the web. I usually use DVD Flick to burn files. I always record my films at the slowest possible speed to minimize the chance of mistakes. Unfortunately, my experience with this particular DVD package was a bit disappointing. Of the 15 DVDs supplied, about 5 turned out to be unusable. They just don't burn properly. Normal DVDs are usually just thrown away and bought a new one. I was hoping this pack wouldn't have that since they…

I wish I had thought of buying your DVD RWs sooner!

Being able to reformat (ie erase) DVDs is great as I take LOTS of footage from my cable TV (ATT uVerse) to bring home to my girlfriend to watch with her , since it does I don't have some of the cash registers that I have at home. I started writing the titles of the shows I record on index cards which I put inside the DVD cover along with the corresponding DVD so I could take it home after watching the recorded shows on the DVD and ( after re-watching) Record some new shows on it (and write on a
