This rug is the perfect width for use in front of double leaf front doors, although I wish it were bigger than 20 inches. both ends, quickly smoothing out the folded edges. It now sits on my covered porch and still keeps some of the junk out of the house. It can be washed off with water, which I consider a plus. However, if you are planning to use this as an outdoor entrance mat, there are a few considerations: 1- The surface is semi-smooth and flat so it will not remove or retain dirt, grime or leaves like its coir coir counterparts 2- On smooth floors [concrete, wood, tiles] you must use the supplied non-slip pad underneath. I will continue to use this on my porch until I find a similar sized coir/HD rubber mat.
