Review on 🚽 TOTO SW2043R#01 C200 Electronic Bidet Toilet: Cleansing Water, Heated Seat, Deodorizer - Includes Warm Air Dryer & PREMIST Technology - Round, Cotton White by Dave Wolf

We moved to a new house and missed the bidet a lot. It's been in our family for a year now and these are really great products. I bought this Toto bidet for us to use in between until our bathroom is renovated and we put a regular standalone bidet in it. I've always heard good things about Toto (our previous bidet was a Kohler Veil one piece) and the C200 had great reviews on wirecutter.com so we bought it and were excited for its arrival. I should have read the Amazon review before purchasing. The very first two reviews claim Toto doesn't include the correct TEE fitting to connect to American toilets with plastic fill valves (the TEE included is for metal fill valves). We spent two hours setting up what should have only taken 15 minutes because we were unable to fit the TEE snugly to the toilet's plastic fill valve. SHAME Toto for shipping a product to US customers that they know isn't working. The official solution is to purchase an extension kit (part THU9090R) designed to connect to the plastic fill valve on US toilets. Nowhere does Toto say this. They actually call it an "expansion kit", not an American toilet conversion kit. Now we have to wait a few more days for the conversion kit if we want to keep the bidet. Not to mention that the plastic fill valve on our current toilet now needs to be replaced because we put the supplied (wrong) TEE on it about 25 times to prevent it from leaking. I've tried teflon tape, double washers, no washers, etc. and nothing has worked. That's when I read the customer reviews and saw that it was not possible to install the toilet correctly with the scope of delivery. As a buyer, I feel Toto was dishonest and robbed me. This bidet should have a big warning that it will not fit an American style toilet without purchasing additional parts. I assumed everything I needed to install a bidet would be included. Wrong, it will only connect to an American style toilet (plastic inlet valve) if you purchase the incorrectly labeled THU9090R extension.
