Review on 🏍️ LS2 Valiant II Modular Helmet by Mike Cody

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor gear, not for long jaws

I bought this hoping to replace my aging Nolan N-44 helmet. The Nolan is 2x bigger and the chin bar barely fits. I hope to be able to ride more in the coming cold, so that's important for me. The Valiant 2 looks great, the mechanism works well to move and rotate the visor. back until I heard a plastic click and the chin bar stopped rotating forward after vertical. The arm on the side of the plastic helmet bulged outward when I pulled it forward. I finally got it to close again, but returned it because I couldn't rely on it to open and close smoothly when riding a bike. This helmet is described as suitable for a medium oval head shape. I bought 3x instead of the 2x I used with Nolan because I expected a better fit. My cheeks were very tight and the chin bar pressed very uncomfortably on my chin when the chin bar was generally properly attached. The left side didn't line up with the right and wouldn't snap into place even when I wasn't trying to put the helmet on my head. If the Revain had a 4x model I would have been tempted to try it, but for the price I was expecting a much better build quality.
