Great service but not worth the price of the gear.

I was only at Ooma's for about 6 weeks. The 24/7 tech support was great and the online account manager is simple which makes it very user-friendly for everyone. However, I simply lacked control and management. I am very tech savvy and would like to be able to control and customize the device. What, for the price, do you think it would be possible. Voice service is decent, but the hardware doesn't make up for it with extra features. Ooma doesn't offer toll free numbers or the ability to use an IP phone? Which defeats the purpose of buying their business phone system. I have a toll free number and Polycom and therefore I would have to switch phones and add service to my toll free number to stay with Ooma. Pros: - 24/7 technical support - Functionality and ease of use. - voice quality is good Disadvantages: - iron price - sound quality; Don't plan to use the Music on Hold feature because the audio quality is choppy when streaming audio. - Missing features: Toll-free numbers and the use of IP phones are not supported. - Long-term expenses: $10 per month. for each additional number and/or extension number, which can add up to $20 to your bill if you opt for both - no backup number or an instant second line (last two features are in the "Home Premiere" option available."I know. CRAZY!").*** All of the above features are usually included in unlimited third-party plans, starting at $24/month with no additional hardware. It's not worth it. I'd be better off just paying for it online provider, albeit a little more money, which when using Ooma means you end up paying more or the same price as any other online provider but paying for additional features What You'll Need Later Premiere has more features than a business system, so if you don't mind the initial hardware cost and don't need a toll-free number or use of an IP phone, this might be for you. in Ring Central.
