Review on 🏞️ Lightweight and Sturdy: SIRUI P-306 Professional 6-Section Aluminum Monopod by Kurt Ahui

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love this thing so much

It's compact but expands to a height I can't use. (Full extension, I'm only 5ft 3" tall and have a 3" ball mount). It's light yet strong enough to hold my D500 with a 600mm lens in most situations. But I don't usually carry such a large lens with me when carrying this monopod. I carried this thing all over Japan for 2 weeks and it has served me very well. Signs "without tripod" sell very well there. ha ha. At first I didn't like that it has 5 levels of adjustment while most other monopods I've used have 3. But after some use, I found I was getting to the point where I could set it properly. very fast. At 15 1/2 inches, it's 6 inches shorter than my Benro when fully folded, but only 2 inches shorter when fully extended to a maximum height of 61 inches. It weighs about the same. As for the negatives, yes the 5 hinges make it a little less ribbed than my Benro when fully extended. I don't usually expand the bottom smallest section, which helps with that. To take with me when traveling or hiking, this is my choice. For trackdays or other events where I'm not constantly moving and almost always use my big glass, yes I use my slightly sturdier Benro. I would buy it again and have recommended it to friends.
