Review on 🏠 Reusable Furnace Filter for Home - Size: 14X24X1 by Joshua Coulter

I bought two of these for the house. The first one was a bit loose so I figured I'd just add a 1/2" x 1/4" gasket to hold it in place. When I received the protective cover, I put it on the second one to check. Even with the extra spacing, it was still too small. I checked my old 14x24x1 filter and the measurements were accurate. This item sold as 14 x 24 x 1 actually measures 13.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches. Thickness doesn't matter, but the 0.5 inch gap all the way around means it doesn't seal and sits in a slot. Every time the heater turns off, you will hear the loud sound of falling even after you install the gasket to fix it. I can see it being made 0.1 or 0.25 inch smaller, but 0.5 inch smaller is not acceptable. Too bad, I was really glad that I no longer had to buy air filters. Instead, not only do I need new air filters, but now I also have to deal with the return shipment.
