Finally metal door rails!

I've searched my local hardware stores for metal sliding door tracks to no avail. A few years ago I reluctantly installed three plastic bottles. I have carpeted cabinets and didn't want to try to cut small pieces big enough to fit these plastic rails flush to a hard floor so they would buckle over time and if they were flush mounted it wouldn't be enough Height available to correct locking the doors. You have done a great job. . I screwed them on with the (longer) screws I had and compressed the carpeting. They fit and now the doors are properly supported. I will no longer have the problems I had with non-metals. The only possible "bad thing" is that my doors have completely filled the guide gaps so that they touch without a gap. My doors are "standard" in the sense that I've seen them all my life (54 years). I'm not sure about narrower doors. The "white" parts are made from regular low friction polyester so they slide normally but are under load. I might have preferred a 1/8 inch gap on each side as the paint might bleed.
