This hole saw is just over 4" in diameter, allowing the hole to accommodate a 4" dryer vent. It quickly cuts through plaster (previously only up to 3/4 inch) and fine mesh. Maybe I'll build a lathe for metal, but I don't know yet. It's best to switch to a serrated bit for OSB and plywood. You don't need ultra-fast speeds to get through the material. I just bought one before messing up 2 prong crowns on the other dryer ports. So life is.
