Review on ๐Ÿถ Whistler Dog Barrier: Heavy-Duty Universal Fit Adjustable Pet Barrier for SUVs, Cars & Vehicles by Courtney Frostick

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A cheap solution if you can tolerate noise and don't need to keep a strong dog.

Installation was easy despite poor instructions. Luckily my basset hound hasn't tried it yet. He usually bangs his head on anything that gets in his way. The barrier is not very strong. I could easily bend the bars if I wanted to. The plastic nuts holding the extensions in place aren't enough to keep the whole thing from rattling like a tambourine while riding. The spacing between the bars is good enough to provide a good view but to prevent the dog from trying to climb through. This is a good cheap fix to the problem if you can stand the noise. I'll probably buy something else if I can't figure out how to stop the rattling. I can seriously hear it through my stereo depending on how bumpy the road is. Update: I couldn't stand the rattling. I've tried different types of tape to muffle the sound. I ended up just pulling the thing out of the car. Lo and behold, my dog doesn't even try to get past the back seat. It was a waste of money and time.
