This is an amazingly strong frame. We have 2 large, boisterous dogs that love being around you. This frame keeps them secure in the back seat of our Kia Sorrento and we're far less concerned about them jumping over the back seat. stay calm, but grab the headrest with your hand. There is no possibility of the car popping out or over-tightening will damage the car.

The reason I gave it 3 stars was because it doesn't work on the third row headrests on my Sienna. That's actually my fault as I didn't realize the rear headrests weren't adjustable. I ordered this for my new 2022 Hyndai Tucson. I'm warning you, if you do the same thing, you'll have to work to make it fit. Installation was easy despite poor instructions. Luckily my basset hound hasn't tried it yet. He usually bangs his head on anything that gets in his way. The barrier is not very strong. I could easily bend the bars if I wanted to. The plastic nuts holding the extensions in place aren't enough to keep the whole thing from rattling like a tambourine while riding.
