I have a 2020 Subaru Forester and the headrest attachment method does not work. It's probably meant to be a free corner if I find something that's a better fit - just by discussing it, trying my luck with another generic, or paying the ridiculous prices the dealer is charging for a Subaru product. I should add that this is probably an issue with the vehicle rather than the product itself, but other vehicles may have a similar issue.
